Theresa Ann Dahlgren

Theresa A. Dahlgren, age 87 of Fargo, ND and formerly of the Adams/Fairdale area passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Bethany on 42 ^nd in Fargo, ND.

Theresa Ann Burianek was born October 6, 1932 in Veseleyville, ND the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Dusek) Burianek. She attended rural school there. Following her education she did housework for area families. When she was growing up, her brothers had a polka band and they would go around performing at area dances. Theresa followed her brothers and it was a dance they were playing for where she met Myron “Mike” Dahlgren. The couple married on June 14, 1954 in Veseleyville. They lived and farmed in the Adams/Fairdale area where they had a grain and dairy farm. Theresa was a typical farm wife, helping to haul grain and cooking huge meals for her growing family of 12. She always had fresh baked goods and fresh milk, so who ever stopped by the farm always got a treat. She had a tremendous faith and never missed Mass on Sunday. After the children had grown and left the farm the couple traveled to Texas a couple of times. Theresa also made trips to London, England and Czechoslovakia. Myron passed away in April of 2001.

Theresa was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church of Lomice and Altar Society and later St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Lankin. She was a member of the Qually-Dvorak American Legion Auxiliary of Adams, ND.

Theresa is survived by her children: Colleen (John) Kram, Bismarck, ND; Roland, Fordville, ND; Karl, Grafton, ND; Doreen (David) Drinkard, Marble Falls, TX; Fredric (Roberta), Truth & Consequences, NM; Malcom (Margo), Adams, ND; Loreen, Grafton, ND; Daren, Mesa, AZ; Erleen (John) McCanna, West Fargo, ND; Noel, Osnabrock, ND; Oreen Kirkpatrick, London, England; Franceen Maroney, Maple Grove, MN; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and brother, Daniel (Delores) Burianek, Grafton, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren and siblings: Joseph, Johnnie, Amby, Vendelyn and Stanny Barta.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 6, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Park River, ND. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery, Lomice, ND in the spring.
