Stanley Zolondek, age 88 of Minto, ND, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society of Park River.
Stanley Zolondek was born June 26, 1932 to the late Dominik and Mary (Lunski) Zolondek in Grafton, ND. He was raised and attended country school in the Ardoch area. Stanley was drafted and served in the US Army from 1956-1958. He married Harriet Mesheske on June 29, 1966. They returned to the Minto area after they wed. Harriet passed away on November 16, 1977. Stanley worked as a carpenter, piled beets for 30 years for American Crystal, and worked for Minto Parks for 20 years.
Stanley was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto, Polish National Alliance, Minto Volunteer Fire Department, and the Northeast Pioneer Machinery Association. He also served on the Minto Park Board for 20 years and as a member of the Minto American Legion Post for more than 50 years.
Stanley is survived by his sister Bernice Glanner; three nieces and four nephews; and many cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Harriet, and three sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 23, 2020 at 10:30 A.M at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the church. Due to COVID restrictions, capacity requirements and social distancing will be observed, masks will be required. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery following the service. Military rites will be provided by the Minto and East Grand Forks American Legion and the ND National Guard Honor Guard. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Stanley's memory.
