Sandra “Sandy” J. Kasprick, age 72 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Bethany Homes in Fargo, ND.
Sandy J. Gilbraith was born October 11 1945, to Leslie and Hazel (Lewis) Gilbraith in Devil’s Lake, North Dakota. She graduated from Mohall High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1963 to 1965. Sandy married in 1965 and moved to Grafton. She returned to college in 1997 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Park University with a degree in Human Resource Management and Psychology. Sandy worked for Northwestern Bell and later the Life Skills and Transition Center from 1975 until retiring in 2006. After retirement she worked part-time at Friendship, Inc. and Haiti’s Daily Grind, until her diagnosis.
Sandy was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church, were she taught religious education. She loved to cook, read, care for her horses, and spend time with her grandchildren. She was known for her many talents including, wedding cakes, sewing, writing and broad general knowledge.
Sandy is survived by her children, James Kasprick, Orlando, FL, Patrick (Nita) Kasprick, Bismarck, ND, Coral Fleming, Fargo, ND and Micheal (Darcy) Kasprick, Fargo, ND; her grandchildren: Danielle, Jaxen, Charles, Autumn, Andrea, Kristopher, and Matthew; siblings: Vance (Debbie) Gilbraith, Great Falls, MT, Kathy Andreson, Minot, ND, Robin (David) Stark, Tully, ND, Sara (David) Volk, Sherwood, ND and Scott Gilbraith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anton Kasprick, and two infant brothers.
Memorial services will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 P.M. with a 7:00 prayer service at Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. Inurnment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
