Laddie R Pic

Laddie R. Pic, age 78 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Grafton, ND passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.

Laddie was born on June 22, 1940 to Joseph and Mary (Pesek) Pic in Sauter Township, Walsh County, ND.  He attended school there and also at the Walsh County Agriculture School in Park River.

He moved to Grafton where he owned and operated the Southside and Northside Grocery Stores for many years.  He also maintained many apartments and trailer courts in Grafton.

Laddie enjoyed helping his sister Gloria with her Avon business along with playing bingo and traveling to casinos.

Laddie is survived by his sister, Margaret Houser, Park River, ND; sister-in-law, Angeline Pic, Lawton, ND; twelve nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Alice Kubat, Gloria Pic and two infant sisters, brother, George Pic, brothers-in-law: Joe Kubat and Frank Houser, two nieces: Shirley Larson and Darlene Carlson, great nephew, Terry Kubat and great niece Priscilla Carlson.

Memorial services will be Friday, May 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton, ND. Inurnment will be at the Pecka Cemetery, rural Lawton, ND.  Memorials are preferred to the Pecka Cemetery.
