Karen M. Farder

Karen Marie Farder, age 56 of Minto, ND passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Valley Eldercare Center of Grand Forks, ND. Karen Marie Mondry was born November 3, 1956 in Minto, ND the daughter of the late William and Mary K. (Peterson) Mondry. She graduated from Minto High School. Following her education she continued to make her home in Minto. She worked as a CNA for the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton and Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Karen was united in marriage to Michael Farder on December 9, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. She was currently working in the Determination Department at Noridian in Grand Forks. Karen was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society of Minto, the Minto American Legion Auxiliary; she served on the board at the Walsh County Historical Society and volunteered on the rescue squads for the Minto Quick Response and Valley Ambulance in Grafton. Karen is survived by her husband, Mike Farder, Minto, ND; her siblings: Kay Theroux, Minto, ND; Allen Mondry, Hewitt, MN; Shirlee (Tom) Thompson, Janesville, IA; Mary Ellen (Eugene) Balek, Manvel, ND; sister-in-law, Mary Mondry, Minto, ND; children: Ryan Ebertowski, Minto, ND; Holli (Will) Burgess, Springfield, GA; Tony Ebertowski, Minto, ND; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marilyn Behnkie and brother, Lyle Mondry. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the church in Minto. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Minto, ND.
