Helen Eleanor Linhart

Helen Eleanor Linhart went home to her Savior on June 5, 2014 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Helen Eleanor Linhart was born June 22, 1922 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late William and Anna (Lust) Linhart. She was a life-long resident of Grafton and member of St. John's Catholic Church. Helen spent the early part of her life caring for her parents. After their deaths, she was employed as a nurses' aid at St. Joseph's Hospital, baker at the Lutheran Sunset Home and a cook at St. John's rectory. Helen contributed many hours to St. John's Altar Society, especially for the annual fall supper. She was involved in the social justice ministry of St. John's, supporting work toward the alleviation of suffering in Haiti and also welcome to refugees from Viet Nam and Cambodia. She was on the committee that started the annual Christmas Party at St. John's. She is survived by her nephew, Frank (Cynthia) Janousek, Grafton, ND; nieces: Fran (Steve) Walters, Enterprise, AL, and Sister Francine Janousek, Fargo, ND; grandnieces Michelle (Lynn) Clement, Zachary, LA; Cheri (Jim) Borneman, Bethlehem, PA; Kathy (Trey) Martin, Enterprise, AL; Karissa (Brad) Bladow, Hankinson, ND; and great-grandnieces Aly Clement, Anna Beth Martin, Katie Borneman, Karsyn Bladow and great-grandnephews James Martin, Jack Borneman, John David Clement and Ross Bladow. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Evelyn Janousek and nephew, David Hovet. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 16th at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, June 15th from 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
