William Houska

William J. “Billy” Houska, age 68 of Pisek, ND passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Billy Houska was born August 4, 1949 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of the late William and Frances (Sobolik) Houska. He lived his entire life in Pisek. He worked for his uncle on the farm and helped his dad do carpentry work. He also worked for many years for his brother-in-law at Dusek Sand and Gravel.

He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Pisek.

Billy is survived by his siblings: Polly (Don) Dusek, Park River, ND Jeanie Houska, Pisek, ND and John (Jackie) Houska, Grafton, ND, niece Sherry (Paul) O’Toole, Cassandra (Chris) Martinson, Kayla, James, Bethany, and Christine O’Toole, nephew Kenny (Susan Degner) Dusek, Jonathan Dusek, Karen, Brandyn and Jaycob Chandler, nephew Brent Houska and niece Macy Houska. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny and nephew Keith Dusek.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Pisek. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery of Pisek in the spring.
