Wesley Smith

Wesley W. Smith, age 68, of Grafton, ND and formerly St. Thomas, ND passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the First Care Health Center of Park River, ND.

Wesley was born May 19, 1957 in Grafton, ND to the late Ralph and Linda (Siewert) Smith. Wesley was raised and attended school in St. Thomas, ND. After his graduation, he worked for a local farmer. Wesley was united in marriage to Debra Born on July 11, 1975. They were married for 29 years.

Through the years Wesley worked as farm labor, then with his father at Smith Enterprises, Inc, and his dream job of running a Polaris dealership. Wesley was passionate about snowmobiling and raced snowmobiles for many years. He loved telling stories of his racing days and reminiscing with his friends. Wesley had a great sense of humor and enjoyed helping people.

Wesley is survived by his sisters: Leanne Smith, Grafton, ND and Lynette Smith, Devils Lake, ND; numerous nieces and nephews, and his cats Blacky and Tippy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
