Wanda A. Hall, age 97 of Moorhead, Minnesota and formerly of Edinburg, North Dakota passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead.
Wanda Adele Nelson was born April 14, 1927 in Grafton, North Dakota the daughter of the late Willy Nelson and Alice (Brunsvold) Hanson. She graduated from Edinburg High School and attended Aaker’s Business School. Wanda was united in marriage to Edward Hall on November 20, 1949 in Edinburg, North Dakota. The couple made their home on the Hall farm near Edinburg. Wanda was a loving and excellent caregiver and taking care of Ed until he passed away on March 21, 1997. She remained on the family farm until moving to Eventide Nursing Home in 2006.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA and the Edinburg American Legion Auxiliary. She was very active in the church and the community of Edinburg. She liked to bowl and won many trophies. She loved to bake especially all things Scandinavian and shared all of her baked goods with the community at Christmas time.
Wanda is survived by her brothers: Clinton (Sandra) Nelson, Fargo, ND and Wally (Diane) Nelson, Hebo, OR. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed and sister Dorothy (Dick) Gilliam.
Memorial services will be Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Edinburg, ND. Visitation will be at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the Gardar Cemetery, Gardar, North Dakota.
