Vlasta A. "Pat" Rose, age 94 of Lankin, ND passed away on Monday, October 05, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Vlasta A Harazim was born July 2, 1915 near Lankin, ND the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Vavra) Harazim. She attended rural schools near Lankin and graduated from Lankin High School. She was united in marriage to Charles A. Rose on October 1, 1935 in Lankin. The couple made their home in Lankin. Pat was a wonderful seamstress and was an Avon Representative for over 30 years. The couple moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Park River in March of 2002. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Altar Society of Lankin, the W.F.L.A. Kosobud Hall, rural Lankin and the Lankin Senior Citizens. Pat was an avid gardner and especially enjoyed raising gladiolas. She is survived by her daughter: Sandy (Ron) Novak, Fordville, ND; grandsons: Curt (Kaye) Novak, Dahlen, ND; Terry (Yolanda) Novak, Fordville, ND; great grandchildren: Brittany, Breanna, Brooke, Blaine, Brogan, Bethany and Bryce Novak. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles on Sept. 25, 2005, siblings: Henry, Agnes Sticha, Alice Sticha and two infant sisters: Hermine and Stephanie. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Lankin. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the St Joseph's Catholic Church of Lankin. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
