Vincent Bogert

Vincent H. Bogert, age 87 of Park River, ND passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Vincent H. Bogert was born August 4, 1921 in Inkster, ND the son of the late Charles W. and Eva (Moreland) Bogert. He grew up and attended school there. Following his education Vincent worked as farm labor in the Inkster and Hoople areas. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Johnson on Aug. 13, 1949 in Inkster. The couple made their home in Inkster for a time, then lived in Hoople and Park River. He was also employed with Associated Potato in Grafton for 20 years, retiring in 1982. Evelyn passed away on June 22, 2008.

Vincent is survived by his daughter Valerie Bogert (Mike Graber), Park River, ND; two granddaughters: Evelyn Bogert and April C. Simmons, both of Grand Forks, ND; great grandson Bailey J. Simmons of Grand Forks, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters: Sadie, Clara, Ella and Anna and brothers: Alfred, Lawrence, Howard, Gerald, Donald and Willis.
