Verna B. Johnson

Verna B. Johnson, age 88 of Park River, ND passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Park River. Verna B. Hearonemus was born November 8, 1922 in Souris, ND the daughter of the late Henry and Ida (Manz) Hearonemus. She married George Johnson July 7, 1949 in Bottineau, ND. He passed away on August 5, 1981. Verna worked in retail stores in Bottineau and Minot until retirement. In 1994 she moved to Edgewood Vista in Minot, and in 2003 to the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Verna was a member of Presbyterian Church in Minot, ND. She is survived by a niece; nephews; and sister-in-law Delnora Berntson, Newburg, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. Memorial services will be Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday for 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Dovre Cemetery, Newburg, ND at a later date.
