Una Mae Henriksen, 82 formerly of Grafton and Calvin, North Dakota, died on Friday, November 27, 2009 at a nursing home in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Una Mae Lewis was born July 10, 1927 in Byron Township of Cavalier County, North Dakota, the daughter of Samuel McLean Lewis and Annie Christina McLean Lewis. She grew up on the family farm in Byron Township and attended school there. She graduated from Calvin High School in 1945 and was married to Duane LeRoy Henriksen on December 28, 1945, at his Uncle's house near Sarles. The couple made their home on the farm at Calvin where they continued to farm until they retired in 1986. Duane and Una spent winters in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho from 1979 until 1986 and moved to their new home in Grafton in 1987. They spent winters in the Phoenix area for several years. Una Mae continued to live in their house in Grafton following Duane's death on September 19, 2001, until moving to 4000 Valley Square in Grand Forks in the spring of 2005. In April of 2009 she moved to King of Prussia, Pennsylvania to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Scott Knutson. She was a long-time member of the Glenila Presbyterian Church at Calvin and currently a member of the Federated Church in Grafton. Leaving her friends at the Federated Church was the most difficult part of moving away. Surviving are daughters Cynthia (Mike) Cheeley, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Susan (Scott) Knutson, King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania; son Terrance (Mary) Henriksen, Mentor, Minnesota; brothers, Dr. B. L. Lewis (Jimmy), Phoenix; George (Shirley) Lewis, Rocklake, ND; sister, Thelma Kennedy, Avoca, Iowa; grandchildren, Gale (Edwin) Krogfoss and Kristi Mishler, both of Grand Forks; Sheri (Jay) Morgan of Laveen, AZ; Sara Fladeland of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Alexis (Zach) Zielinski, Hayden, Idaho; Ariana (Jason) Anderson, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Dustin Dudley (Ryan Perry) of Boston, Massachusetts; and great grandchildren Casey and Anthony Coauette, Melissa Mishler, Samantha Krogfoss, Jackson & Brooklyn Anderson, Thomas Zielinski, Miya Mei Fladeland and Olivia Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband Duane; parents and brother, Austin Lewis. Pallbearers are grandchildren Gale Krogfoss, Kristi Mishler, Sheri Morgan, Sara Fladeland, Alexis Zielinski, Ariana Anderson and Dustin Dudley. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Federated Church in Grafton with Rev. Lee Gale officiating. Friends may call at the church in Grafton on Thursday for an hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Corinthian Cemetery, Calvin, North Dakota.
