Tommy L. Myers

Tommy L. Myers, age 60 of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton, ND. Thomas L. Myers was born August 5, 1950 in Winterset, IA the son of the late Kenneth and Naomi (Lane) Myers. He attended school there and in Corydon, IA. Following his education he was united in marriage to Connie McBrom on September 20, 1968 in Iowa. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on Sept. 20, 1973. He served in Montana, the Philippine Islands, the PAR Site in Nekoma, ND; California, New York, Alaska and Germany retiring on October 1, 1993. He was united in marriage to Jolanda "Jody" Olason on May 18, 1982 in Hensel, ND. The couple moved to Grafton in 1993 where he worked for Wally's Grocery Store, Denny's Grocery Store, Western Security, the Grafton Developmental Center, Mac's Bottle Shop and the Unity Hospital. Tommy is survived by his wife Jody, Grafton, ND; his children: Angie (Doug) Carpenter, Promise City, IA; Brian (Tabatha) Myers, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren and sister Virginia Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Grafton Federated Church. Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Vidalin Lutheran Cemetery, Hensel, ND. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41.
