Timothy John Jelinek

Timothy John Jelinek, age 56 of Park River, ND, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Timothy Jelinek was born October 17, 1963 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Daniel and Viola (Pecka) Jelinek Funseth.  He attended schools in Fordville and Park River, graduating from Park River High School.  Following his education, he began working construction for several area contractors.  He was united in marriage to Teri Jo Klimek in 2010 in Grafton, ND.  He retired for health reasons in 2010.

He was a former member of the St. Mark’s Catholic Church of Conway.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Teri Jo, Park River, ND; sons: Daniel Jelinek (Alyssa Westad), Fargo, ND and Tanner Jelinek, Park River, ND; step-sons: Daniel Klimek (Stephanie Bella), Fargo, ND and David Klimek, Park River, ND; 3 grandchildren: Clover and Isaac Klimek, and Gavin Klimek, step-father Kenneth Funseth, Park River, ND, siblings: Janie (Dean) Kram, Walhalla, ND, Laura Jelinek (Randy Hummel), Drayton, ND and Robert Jelinek, Conway, ND; nephews: Cody Melland, Grand Forks, ND and Adin Petersen, Fargo, ND; nieces: Cassy (Adam) Gebhardt, Dickinson, ND, Becca Bratlie (Cody Behm), Drayton, ND, Emily Bratlie (Ryan Wells), Langdon, ND and Lexi Langowski (John Aulich) Drayton, ND; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Little Park across from the Federated Church in Park River. Guests are asked to bring their own chairs. Lunch will be served. In case of inclement weather, the services will be held at Victory Free Lutheran Church.  Inurnment will be at the St. Mark’s Catholic Cemetery of Conway.
