Thomas A Williams

Thomas A. Williams, age 60, of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at First Care Health Center of Park River. Thomas A. Williams was born June 28, 1954 in San Francisco, CA the son of Robert L. and Ellen M. (Bennett) Williams. He grew up and attended school in Fremont, CA and later worked as a mechanic in the San Francisco area. In 1994 he moved to Lake Bronson, MN and later moved to Grafton where he worked as a taxi driver and mechanic for Reed Stewart. He then started driving truck for Trans System. He was currently driving truck for M Bar D Trucking hauling sugar and coal and training drivers until his health forced him to retire. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Peterson on Aug. 5, 1995 in Grafton, ND. Tom was a member of the Valley Cruisers Car Club in Grafton. He loved to listen to Blue's Music, restore old cars and German shepherd dogs, but he especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Thomas is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann, Grafton, ND; stepsons: Marlon (Jackie) Ramsrud, Park River, ND; Mitch (Josie) Ramsrud, Langdon, ND; grandchildren: Krystle Gire, Shyann (David) Bushey, Lacey (Ethan) Eckmann, Kayla Ramsrud, Brittany Twamley, Alexis Ramsrud, Jessica (Jason) Nelson, Jacob Lunski, Chelsea Lunski, Kristine Ramsrud, great grandchildren: Zayah & Drake Gire, David, Paxton, Catin, Rozalinda Bushey, Kaisin & Grandyn Twamley, Triston & Anica Nelson, Iliana & Alaina Lunski, Graycie & Zaiden Lunski, his mother, Ellen M. Williams, Manteca, CA; and siblings: Kathy (Tony) Vasquez, Suisun, CA; Bobby Williams, Coalinga, CA; Daniel (Linda) Williams, Manteca, CA; Caroline Williams, OK; George (Brenda) Williams, Lake Bronson, MN; brother-in-laws: Roger Peterson, Grand Forks, ND and Daniel Peterson, Hinesville, GA. He was preceded in death by his father and granddaughter, London Gire. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Victory Free Lutheran Church, Park River, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton, ND. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grafton Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
