Thomas W Lunde

Thomas W. Lunde, age 58 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of St. Thomas, ND passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home in Grand Forks.

Thomas W. Lunde was born January 4, 1958 in Grafton, ND the son of the late John D. and Dorothy (Mahar) Lunde Sr. He grew up and attended school in St. Thomas, graduating in 1976. He attended UMC-Crookston for one year. Following his education he returned to St. Thomas and farmed with his brothers until retiring and moving to Grand Forks in the late 1980’s.

He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks. He did a lot of volunteering at the church and school.

Thomas is survived by his siblings: Sharon (Donald) Ganssle, St. Thomas, ND; Shirley (Thomas) Pico, Emmetsburg, IA; Sandra (Emmett) Currans, Emmetsburg, IA; John D. “Buzz” (Tamara) Lunde, JR; St. Thomas, ND; twin brother, Timothy (Renee) Lunde, St. Thomas, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Arden Windingland.

Memorial services will be Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Calvary Cemetery in St. Thomas, ND.
