Thomas L. Einarson, age 91 of Grafton, ND passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Thomas L. Einarson was born August 29, 1921 in Hensel, ND, the son of the late Thomas and Annie Bell (Creighton) Einarson. He grew up and attended rural school there. He then worked with the C.C.C. for a year. He served in the U.S. Army as a surgical technician from 1942-1945. While in the Army, he earned the Good Conduct Medal, the Air Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Service Ribbon and 2 Overseas Service Bars. Following his discharge, he returned home and began working for various area farmers. He was united in marriage to Bell Pleasants in 1972. A short time later he purchased his own semi and began hauling gravel. He was united in marriage to Anna Ault Larson on October 15, 1991 in Mountain, ND. He moved into the Lutheran Sunset Home in January of 2010. He was a member of the Vikur Lutheran Church of Mountain and the Mountain American Legion. He loved his horses which he used to ride in area parades and horse shows. Thomas is survived by his wife Anna Einarson, Grafton, ND, step-daughters: Sheryl (Dave) McGlynn, East Grand Forks, MN, Sandra (Mike) Sackett, Grafton, ND, 6 step-grandchildren, brothers: Lewis Einarson, Grafton, ND, and Harold Einarson, Edinburg, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Bell, sister Anna Belle Bilden, and brothers: James and Laverne. Memorial services will be Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grafton Federated Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the North Dakota Veteran Cemetery in Mandan.
