Theodora G Dvorak

Theodora G. Dvorak, age 105 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at her home in Grafton. Theodora G. Peterka was born April 14, 1904 in Veseleyville, ND the daughter of the late Joseph and Josefa (Dusek) Peterka. She attended rural school near Veseleyville and later attended the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River. Theodora was united in marriage to Bernard Dvorak on October 19, 1927 in Veseleyville. The couple lived and farmed near Veseleyville. Bernard passed away on September 12, 1976. Theodora moved into Grafton in September 1989 and has lived here since. She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and Altar Society of Veseleyville. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society in Veseleyville and Catholic Daughters. She was also a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Parish Society of Grafton, a member of the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary and the Grafton American Legion Auxiliary. Theodora is survived by her children: Bernadette Greenagel, Grafton, ND; Ernest (Deanna) Dvorak, Locust Grove, VA; Caroline Dvorak, Grafton, ND; Les Dvorak, San Diego, CA; 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two infant sons, and two sisters: Lillian Lutovsky and Valerie Houska and an infant grandson. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery in Veseleyville.
