Thelma Vogsland Skorheim, age 88 of Grafton passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Thelma Vogsland was born September 6, 1924 near Grafton, the daughter of the late Ole and Clara (Wick) Vogsland. She attended rural School District 17 and graduated from Grafton High School. She later attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks. She then worked as a cashier at S&L Department Store. She was united in marriage to Donald Skorheim on September 1, 1950 at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Grafton. The couple moved to California and made their home there for 47 years. In 2001 they returned to Grafton and continued to make their home there until the time of her death. She was a member of the Bethel Free Lutheran Church and numerous committees' within the church. She lived a life devoted to God, family and friends. Thelma is survived by her husband Donald, Grafton, ND; son Mark (Donna) Skorheim, Tyler, TX. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: LaVerne Vogsland, Dennis Vogsland, infant twin brother Peter and an infant sister. Funeral services will be Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Bethel Free Lutheran Church, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-5:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hoople, ND.
