Thelma O Johnson

Thelma O. Johnson, age 100 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Sunday, October 04, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Thelma O. Lunde was born November 21, 1908 in Loma, ND the daughter of the late Anton and Oliana (Rustan) Lunde. She grew up and attended school in Edinburg. Following her education she worked various jobs in the area. She was united in marriage to Walter K. Johnson on March 28, 1932 in Milton, ND. Following their marriage the couple lived in Nash, ND; later moved to Milton and in 1960 they moved to Edinburg where they have resided since. Walter passed away on November 21, 1977. Thelma was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA of Edinburg, ND. She is survived by her daughter; Vonne Delle (Robert) Troknya, Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren: Kimberly Cross, Roberta Phillips, Rebecca Troknya, Mary Beth Spalding, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister: Opal Mohagen, Grafton, ND and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 9 siblings. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 12:30 P.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at North Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Grafton, ND. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Park River Bible Camp or the Trinity Lutheran Church, Edinburg, ND.
