Steve D Silewski

Steve D. Silewski, age 70 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his home in Grafton. Steve D. Silewski was born April 19, 1942 in Grafton, ND the son of Steve W. and Elizabeth (LeClerc) Silewski. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1961 and Lake Region Junior College in Devils Lake in 1963. Steve was united in marriage to Judy Glenn in October of 1961 in Drayton, ND. He worked as an electrical technician for Tyee Construction in Langdon, ND; Morrison-Knudson Construction, Common Wealth Electric Company in Blaine, NE. He later worked on Nuclear Power Plants in Bronzville, NE and Fayetville AR. He later worked in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kentucky. In the mid 1970's they returned to Grafton and he worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad, retiring in 1979. Steve is survived by his sons: Don Silewski, Fargo, ND; Shawn (Gail) Silewski, Minneapolis, MN; three grandsons: Brian, Grant and Justin Silewski; sisters: Irene Lindgren, Grafton, ND and Joyce (Mike) Gierszewski; Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Chester. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM and rosary service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Oakwood, ND.
