Stephanie Gestson

Stephanie “Dolly” Joy Gestson, age 78 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center LTC.

Stephanie was born April 17, 1940 in Grafton, ND, to Henry and Allie Holand. She worked at the Edinburg Public School cafeteria, Halls, and the Quick Stop in Edinburg. She enjoyed baking, bingo and gardening. She married Myron “Babe” Gestson and they raised four children, Lori, Barrie, Kathy and Lonnie.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Myron, her father Henry, her mother Allie, a granddaughter Stephanie, and a son-in-law Frank. She is survived by her children: Lori Beth (Jerri Sapa), Barrie (Joann), Kathy (Victor Camasi), and Lonnie (Teri); 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, her sister Janice, 2 brothers, Richard and Kenneth, several nieces, nephews and cousins and David.

Memorial services will be Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Lunch will be served following the service. Please join us in a celebration of life for Stephanie. Inurnment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Edinburg.

Our family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at the Prairie Rose and Northwood Deaconess Hospital and Nursing Home in Northwood for their attentiveness and loving care they gave our mother and to the Red River Valley Hospice for the comfort, care and support we received during her end of life journey.
