Stanley S Novak

Stanley S. Novak, age 97 of Park River, ND passed away on Saturday, March 3,2018 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center.

Stanley S. Novak was born August 3, 1920 in Meford Township of Walsh County, ND the son of the late John and Anna (Cicha) Novak. He attended schools in Meford Township. Following his education he farmed with his father. Stanley married Evelyn Knaus. The couple lived and farmed near Park River. Stanley later moved into Park River. He worked for Burbidge Seed Farm, Cenex, and Duncan Meagher. He later mowed lawns for several people in the Park River area. He retired in 1982. Stanley moved to the Good Samaritan Center in November of 2015.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Park River.

Stanley is survived by his children: Veronica (Dave) Anderson, Park River, ND; Chris Novak, Warsaw, ND; Francie (Jerry) Linneman, Reynolds, ND and Darrel Novak, Jamestown, ND; five grandchildren: Larry (Jacqueline) Novak, Sara Novak, Tyrone (Rachel) Denault, Toni Linneman and Melissa Denault Shaf and eleven great grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Barbara Denault, brother, John Novak and sisters: Rose Midthun, Florence Hagen, Ann Lindell, Emma Nelson and granddaughter, Mandy Novak.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Park River. Visitation will be Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Park River in the spring.
