Stanley Langowski, 91, Grafton, ND died Saturday, March 14 at Unity Hospital. Stanley, son of John and Josephine Langowski, was born January 29, 1924 in Pulaski Township, ND. He graduated from Minto High School; then served in the US Army in WWII as an ambulance driver in the 101st Airborne in Europe under Patton. Upon return, he worked for Adamson Construction for 41 years, eventually as construction supervisor. Jobs included banks, bus factories, schools, potato houses, and more. He later worked for Brodeur Construction, at Elmwood and Heritage Village, and also worked independently doing remodeling and fine carpentry until recently. Stan's dearly beloved wife of 63 years was Doris French from Oakwood. She passed away in 2012.They resided in the house he built in 1949, which is full of his fine furniture. He continued to live there until his death, enjoying gardening, cooking, neighbors, and working in his shop. As an elder member of St. John's Catholic Church, Stan was a regular attendee of daily masses, rosary, adoration, and various study classes. He recently became a member of The Knights of Columbus. His creativity, gentle soul, and positive attitude will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents and all siblings: Stephie Lizakowski, Amelia Koehmstedt, Julian Langowski, Joe Langowski, Regina Stygar, and Richard Langowski. His wife, Doris; children, Richard Langowski, Cindy Leedahl; and son-in-law, Danny Leedahl also preceded him in death. Loving survivors include his daughter Linda Everson (Greg) of Denver, CO; and four grandchildren: Brad Everson, Denver; Todd Everson, Columbia, SC; Travis Leedahl, Fargo; and Trisha Leedahl, Grafton; plus many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Tollefson Funeral Home, Grafton, on Tuesday, March 24 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm, with prayer service after. The funeral will be at St. Johns Catholic Church, Grafton, on Wednesday, March 25 at 11:30 am with a one hour visitation prior. Military rites will follow with internment at St. Johns Cemetery.
