Sophie R. Kasprick

Sophie R. Kasprick, age 88 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Sophie R. Pokrzywinski was born December 2, 1922 in Minto, ND the daughter of the late Stanley and Regina (Lunski) Pokrzywinski. She grew up and attended schools in Minto. Sophie was united in marriage to Florian Kasprick on April 28, 1941 in Minto. The couple lived and farmed near Warsaw, ND until 1964 when they moved to Grafton. She worked at the Westside Drive Inn, Williamson Creamery, S&L and Pamida. Florian died in 1992 and she moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in August of 2008. Sophie was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Altar Society, Homemakers, Royal Neighbors and the P.N.A. She is survived by her children: Theresa (Mike) Campbell, Moses Lake, WA; George (Bertha) Kasprick, Grand Forks, ND; Jeanette Egeland Russell, Moses Lake, WA; Jim (Barb) Kasprick, Minto, ND; Foster Daughter: Lorraine Duray, Oslo, MN; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Florence Adair. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Warsaw, ND.
