Signe J. Jorgenson

Signe J. Jorgenson, age 104 of Crookston, MN and formerly of Grafton passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston. Signe Josephine Molskness was born October 5, 1906 in Hillsboro, ND the daughter of the late John and Sena (Kaldor) Molskness. She attended rural school there and near Thief River Falls, MN. Following her education she moved to North Dakota to work as a housekeeper for Carl Russum. It was while working for Carl that she met her future husband Andrew Jorgenson. They were married October 24, 1924 in Newfolden, MN. The couple made their home in Grafton where they both worked at the Grafton State School. Andrew passed away on Sept. 1, 1976. Signe continued to live in Grafton until 1994 when she moved to the nursing home in Thief River Falls, MN. In 2006 she moved to the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN. Signe was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Grafton. She was active with the Women's Ministries Group and taught Sunday School. She is survived by her daughter: Ellen (Rev. Wesley) Glennen, Carrington, ND; five grandchildren: Deborah Glennen (Don Miller), Grand Forks, ND; Dwight (Brigid Schroeder) Glennen, Carrington, ND; David (Anita) Glennen, Coon Rapids, MN; Douglas (Joan) Glennen, Grand Forks, ND; Danielle (Chris) Nelson, Fargo, ND; 12 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren; her siblings: Dagney Irvin, Gerhard Molskness and Raymond (Arlene) Molskness all of Thief River Falls, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be Friday, December 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Grafton Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
