Shirley Ann Larson, age 67 of Park River, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.

Shirley Ann Kubat was born September 6, 1950 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Pic) Kubat. She attended Sauter School and graduated from Lakota High School. After her education she remained on the family farm helping her parents. Shirley was united in marriage to Arnold “Sonny” Larson on June 18, 1977 in Whitman, ND. The couple made their home in Park River. Shirley worked at the State Developmental Center until her retirement.

She was a member of the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and WELCA. She loved to spend time with her grandsons and family. She liked to play cards and watch westerns.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Mary Herfindahl, Park River; grandsons: Sawyer and Slone Herfindahl, Park River, ND; brother, Bob (Carol) Kubat; aunts: Margaret Houser, Park River, ND; Angie Pic, Lawton, ND. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, brothers: Johnny and Ronnie and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. at the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Park River. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the Pecka Cemetery, Lawton, ND.
