Shirley Ann Cost, age 58, of Wrightstown, Wisconsin and formerly of Adams, North Dakota, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at her home. She was born on September 2, 1957 in North Dakota to the late Lester and Esther (Smith) Jasmer. Shirley worked for Marvin Windows and Doors in North Dakota and then Mill’s Fleet Farm in Appleton after moving to Wisconsin. She was a lover of all animals and was known to take in stray animals and find them new homes. In addition to being a passionate Green Bay Packer fan, she loved watching sports, especially UND Hockey. Above all though, Shirley valued time spent with family.
Survivors include her two daughters: Theresa Cost-Schmidt of Wrightstown, Amanda (Joseph) Thissen and their children: Samantha, Joey, Jonny, Lily and a soon to be born baby girl of Minneapolis, MN; a son, Gene Cost and his son Jesse of Wahpeton, ND; two brothers: William Jasmer of Adams, ND and Richard (Daniela) Jasmer of Naples, Italy; two sisters: Helen Hensley of Channahon, IL and Diane (Warren) Fanger of Salt Lake City, UT; as well as nieces, nephews, friends and her beloved pets. Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Jasmer, and a sister, Clare Hanson.
Family and friends may visit at Tollefson Funeral Home, Park River ND 58270, on April 23, 2016 from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
