Sharon Diane Lien

Sharon D. Lien, age 69 of Grafton, ND passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Sharon Diane Lindenberg was born October 5, 1948 in Hampden, ND, the daughter of the late Edward and Annabelle (Perrin) Lindenberg.  The family moved to Hoople in 1950 and Grafton in 1956.  She graduated from Grafton High School in 1966.  Sharon was united in marriage to Leland Anderson in 1966.  From this union two daughters were born; Shari Anderson Winegar and Lori Anderson Erickson.  On May 25, 1978 she was united in marriage to Raymond Lien in Reno, NV.  They had one son, Ryan.  She worked in nursing homes most of the time, which was a passion of hers.  She also helped Ray in the refrigeration business.

In 2005, she received a kidney transplant from her brother, Howard.  Since 2002, she had fought many cancers; she succumbed to a lung infection on September 28, 2018.  She loved her family, canning and gardening.  Sharon was a selfless person and never had negativity.

Sharon is survived by her children: Shari (David) Weniger, Virginia; Lori (Scott) Erickson; Florida; Ryan (Heidi) Lien, Park River, ND; ten grandchildren:  siblings: Leah (Dean) Skjerven, Park River, ND; Wrany (Pat) Lindenberg, Grafton, ND; Keith (Mae) Lindenberg, Salt Lake City, UT; Dennis (Patti) Lindenberg, Plymouth, MN.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, parents, brothers:  Howard, James, Loyd and Robert.

Memorial services will be Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. at the Victory Free Lutheran Church of Park River, ND.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
