Scott J. Gourde

Scott J."Scooter" Gourde, age 48 of Oakwood, ND passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Scott J. Gourde was born May 18, 1961 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Jeffrey and Margaret (Sevigny) Gourde. He attended schools in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 1980. He graduated from AVTI in East Grand Forks, MN in 1981. Following his education, Scott worked for Tri-Campbell Farms, Torkelson Brother Farms, Cudmore Gravel, Associated Potato Growers and was currently working for the City of Oslo, MN. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood. Scott is survived by his children: Caitlyn, Madison and Casey Gourde, Oakwood, ND; his siblings: Regan (MaryLou) Gourde, Grand Forks, ND; Sandy (Fred) Sonnenberg, Dent, MN; Peggy (Tim) Gunderson, St. Thomas, ND. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 7, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery of Oakwood.
