Sarah Ann Wosick

Sarah A. Wosick, age 89, Grafton and Fargo, North Dakota, passed away peacefully at sunset on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at MeritCare/Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Sarah Ann Kosmatka was born on June 24, 1920 on her family farm near Warsaw, North Dakota to Peter and Ursula (Ginter) Kosmatka. She was educated in the Warsaw area where she grew into a woman of integrity and strength. Later, she was united in marriage to Florian J. Wosick. Sarah spent her life raising her family of six children, and engaged in service to others. She spent many years working as a waitress extraordinare in cafes and at the American Legion Club in Grafton, North Dakota. Too, she enjoyed entertaining family and friends, travel, gardening, and gaming of all sorts. In essence, she thoroughly enjoyed life, living it to its fullest, surrounded by those she loved, and by those who loved her. Sarah was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Grafton, and its altar society. Sarah is survived by her children Jane, Mesa, Arizona; Daryl (Elsie), Grand Forks, North Dakota; Frederick (Beth), Fargo, North Dakota; Dr. William, Fargo, North Dakota; and Janice, Phoenix, Arizona; by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; by her sister Ann (Robinson), Lakeland, Florida and her brother John (Kosmatka), Oslo, Minnesota; and by several nephews, nieces, and friends. Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Florian; her son, Allen; and by her siblings Verna, Stephen, Rosie, Louie, Delores, and an infant brother Harry. A funeral service for Sarah will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010, at 11 AM at the Tollefson Funeral Home Chapel in Grafton, North Dakota. An hour of visitation for family and friends will begin at 10 AM preceding the service. Springtime graveside services and burial will follow.
