Sandra Nelson, age 61 of Grafton, ND passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Sandy was born November 11, 1955 in Bottineau, ND the daughter of Wallace and Ione (Hobberstead) Nelson. She came to live at the Life Skills and Transition Center in September of 1984. She liked to go outside, feel the leaves and loved the feel of the breeze on her face. Sandy was named Queen of the Spring Gala in 2007.

Sandra is survived by her mother, Ione Nelson, Glasgow, MT; brother, Bruce Nelson, Washington and sister, Jonette, Glasgow, MT. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Nelson, maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 1:45 P.M. at the All Faith’s Chapel in Grafton, ND. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the All Faith’s Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
