Ruby Lamont

Ruby LaMont, age 98 of Grafton, ND passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Lutheran Sunset Home, where she was a resident for the past 12 years. Ruby June Coats was born June 10, 1912 in rural Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Ernest and Gena (Knudson) Coats. She married Ira LaMont April 23, 1932 in Grafton, ND. Other than four years in California, they resided in Grafton. Ruby was a homemaker and also worked as a laboratory technician at Borden's Company in Grafton. She is survived by two daughters: Connie (Lewis) Sondeland of Grafton, ND and Joy (Laverne) Bartlette of Oakdale, MN; two sons: Lyle (Elsie) LaMont of Apple Valley, CA and Jon (Shirley) LaMont of Fargo, ND. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and many great grand children and great great grand children and one sister Lorraine Ingersoll of Moline, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons Ronald, Dick, and Gene, daughter-in-law Jane LaMont, two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be Monday, September 20, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Lutheran Sunset Home Chapel of Grafton, ND. Friends may call at the chapel on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
