Roy A. Anderson

Roy A. Anderson passed away on February, 3, 2012 with his loving family surrounding him at First Care Health Center in Park River, ND. Roy was born October 13, 1942 to Johann and Adele (Lindell) Anderson in San Mateo, California. He grew up in Edinburg and went to school there, graduating from Edinburg High School. After graduation, he attended UND and NDSU for a time. On September 6, 1964 he married Barbara (Sonderson) Anderson and were blessed with two children, Suzanne (Chuck) Kartes and Brian Anderson and one grandchild Brandon. He worked in the implement dealership all his life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg, the North Dakota Implement Dealers Association and served as their president in 1993. He is survived by his wife Barbara, Edinburg, ND, daughter Suzanne (Chuck) Kartes, Edinburg, ND, grandson Brandon, Edinburg, ND, mother Adele Anderson, Cavalier, ND, brothers: David (Kathy) Anderson, Hermitage, NC, Dan (Nancy) Anderson, Cavalier, ND, and sister Jolayne (Richard "Mac") McKnight, Cavalier, ND. He was preceded in death by his father and son Brian. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Edinburg.
