Rose Adele Sigurdson

April 10, 1944 — July 10, 2024

Rose Adele Sigurdson, age 80 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Borg Pioneer Memorial Home in Mountain, ND.

Rose Adele was born April 10, 1944, to Johann and Sigurros (Freeman) Anderson.  She was raised and attended school in Edinburg.

In 1958 Rose met the love of her life Cecil Sigurdson and they were united in marriage on August 21, 1959 at the Gardar Pioneer Lutheran Church.  They made their home in Gardar for the next 7 years.  In July 1961, they welcomed their daughter Connie into the world followed by son Kevin in March of 1964.  In 1966 they settled in Edinburg, where they farmed and raised their family.

Some of Rose’s hobbies included stamping, card making, and scrapbooking.  She made several scrapbooks for her grandchildren’s sporting activities.  She also enjoyed gardening.  Her love of cats led to raising Ragdolls for many years.  But her greatest love was her family, loving them unconditionally and always making time for them. Whether it was a sporting event, dance recital or school concert, Rose along with Cecil, was sure to be there to support their loved ones.

Rose is survived by her daughter Connie (Roger) Moe, Park River, ND; and son Kevin (Wanda) Sigurdson, Prior Lake, MN; her grandchildren: Tyler (Carolyn) Moe, Justin (Ashley) Moe, Austin Moe, Andrew (Morgan) Moe, Caryn (Matheus) Sigurdson Santiago Pires, Spencer Sigurdson; five great grandchildren: Bryson, Cameron, Mahren, Everett and Harrison Moe. She also survived by her brother Henry (Dottie) Anderson, Ramsey, MN; brother-in-laws Paul (Ina) Sigurdson, Grand Forks, ND; Dean (Elisa) Steinke, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, her parents; her three sisters Bertha, LaVerne, Siggie; and five brothers Joe, David, Steven, Percy and Jake.
