Rose M. Narveson, age 67 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Rose M. Lorenzen was born June 4, 1945 in St. Andrews Township, ND, the daughter of the late Clyde and Elizabeth (Staskivige) Lorenzen. She grew up and attended school in St. Thomas, ND. Following her education she was united in marriage to Dale Narveson on March 26, 1966 in Grafton. She lived in St. Thomas for a short time following their marriage before settling in Grafton. She worked for various employers including Associated Potato Growers, Grafton Drug, and Norby's of Grand Forks. She later operated her own daycare before becoming a CNA at the Lutheran Sunset Home where she worked for 23 years. She began working in the Alzheimer's unit when it opened and worked there until retiring in October of 2011. She moved into the Lutheran Sunset Home on June 5, 2012. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton and the St. John's Altar Society. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and spoiling her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Dale of Grafton, children: Allan (Kim) Narveson, Holly Springs, NC, Brett (Bethany) Narveson, Grafton, ND, Jodi (Tom) LaHaise, Grafton, ND, Wanda Gornowicz, Manvel, ND, grandchildren: Derek, Britani, Dylan, Briana, Brooke, Brandi, Jordan, Sheyanne, Jayden, great granddaughter Adeline, siblings: Evangeline, Ruth, Doris, Shirley, Darlene, Judy, Jane, Mary, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Delphine, Stephan, Jerry, William, Duane, and Donald. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 10:30 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Lutheran Sunset Home, St. John's Catholic Church, or a charity of your choice.
