Rose M. Kliniske

Rose M. "Dolly" Kliniske, age 97 formerly of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at her daughter's home in St. Thomas. Rose M. "Dolly" Greskowiak was born June 6, 1917 near Warsaw, ND, the daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Knaus) Greskowiak. She grew up and attended school there and attended the convent for one year. She was united in marriage to Leo M. Kliniske on October 26, 1937 in Warsaw, ND. The couple made their home in Detroit for a short time before returning to St. Thomas. They moved to Grafton in 1962 and she worked for the Carnegie Regional Library Bookmobile for 18 years, the Grafton American Legion Club, and the Grafton State School. She retired in February of 1986. She has spent the last 15 years in St. Thomas with her daughter Janice. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society of Grafton, and the St. Thomas Senior Citizens. Dolly loved life and spent countless hours baking, sewing, crocheting, hosting whist and pinochle parties, and playing bingo. Grandma Dolly's place was where the grandchildren wanted to be. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Dolly is survived by her children: Audrey Almond, Grafton, ND, Janice Christinson, St. Thomas, ND, Rosie Kliniske, Grafton, ND, Kerry Kliniske, Fargo, ND, Holly Kittleson, Fargo, ND, Jordan (Bonnie) Kliniske, Grafton, ND, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and her sister Johanna Gibbs, Minneapolis, MN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters, 1 brother and son-in-law Gary Christinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery of Grafton.
