Ronald Scott Nelson

Ronald S. Nelson, age 58 of Park River, ND passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at First Care Health Center of Park River, ND.

Ronald Scott Nelson was born May 9, 1963 to Carl and Barbara (Dencker) Nelson in Park River, ND.  He was raised and attended grade school in Adams and high school in Park River.  After graduation, he attended Area Vocational Technical Institute for welding.  Ron worked as a welder for Harriston Industries, painter for Bert’s Truck Equipment, cook for Smoky’s in Ardoch, ND, and as of recently farming in the Park River/Edinburg area.

Ron loved classic cars, hunting, and motorcycles.  Anyone that was close to him knew of his love of the classics and “The Judge”, his 1969 GTO.  He was a man who could fix anything or at least willing to give it try.  Ron was loved by many people.  He was rugged on the outside, but in reality he was a big teddy bear!

Ron is survived by his daughters: Bailey Nelson of East Grand Forks, MN and Taylor (James Mack) Nelson, Grand Forks, ND; siblings: Cindy Moe, Dilworth, MN; Jay (Lisa) Nelson, Park River, ND; and Amy (Jerry) Noeske, Valley City, ND; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.  He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Sam Noeske.

Graveside services and inurnment will be held at a later date at the German Cemetery of Rural Park River.
