Ronald J. "Ronnie" Braddock, age 68, of Northwood, ND and formerly of Hoople, ND passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center of Northwood. Ronald J. "Ronnie" Braddock was born March 9, 1946 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Nels and Esther (Markel) Braddock. He grew up and attended school in Hoople. Following his education Ronnie worked at Hoople Potato Products for many years. When he started having health issues, he helped out around Hoople wherever he could, whether it was at the gas station or letting people into the city landfill. He was always more than willing to lend a helping hand. His health forced him to retire in 1997. He moved into Grafton in 2009 and to Northwood in 2013. A few of his many interests were his love for old, fast cars and putting models of them together. He also loved watching sports, especially wrestling and his favorite baseball team, the Twins. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and was a very proud grandpa. He had recently become a great-grandpa for the first time. He is survived by his daughters: Peggy Braddock, Northwood, ND, Kari (Keith) Mecham, Fargo, ND, grandchildren: Miranda Slebodnik, Shelby and Levi Mecham, great-granddaughter Harmony Hall, and sister Diane (Gerald) Bounds. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lewis Braddock, and an infant brother. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Lutheran Church of Hoople. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Hoople City Cemetery.
