Roger A. Tharalson

Roger A. Tharalson, age 59 of Hoople, ND passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at First Care Health Center of Park River. Roger A. Tharalson was born May 31, 1952 in Grafton, ND the son of Allen and Laverne (Hove) Tharalson. He graduated from Hoople High School and attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. He served in the Army National Guard from 1973-1977. Following his discharge he moved to Baudette, MN where he owned and operated Roger's Launch Service at Lake of the Woods. He was united in marriage to Debra Burns on September 17, 1983. In the early 2000's he moved back to Hoople and worked as a truck driver for area farmers. In the winter months he lived in Las Vegas, NV and drove truck for R.C. Farms. Roger was a member of the Walsh County Gun Club. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt and trap. He also raised silver fox. Roger is survived by his children: Erik Tharalson and his fiancé Katrina Norris, Denver, CO; Molly Tharalson and her fiancé Kyle Prevost, Manitoba, Canada; his mother Laverne Tharalson, Hoople, ND; sister Ruth Hall, Las Vegas, NV; nephew: Jacob (Tyler) Hall; Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his father Allen.
