Rodell M. Phelan

Rodell Phelan, age 100 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Rodell M. Morris was born November 26, 1911 in Foxholm, MN the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Sha) Morris. She later moved to Voss, ND to help her Aunt and Uncle in their store. It was there she met her future husband, Jerome J. Phelan. The couple married on October 29, 1935 in Minto, ND. The couple lived and farmed in the Minto and Grafton area. Rodell worked as a sales clerk at the Reyleck's store in Grafton for many years. Jerome passed away on February 7, 1996. She moved to Leisure Estates in June of 2010. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society of Minto, the Degree of Honor and the Golden Age Senior Citizens. Rodell loved to garden and bake and spend time with her family. She is survived by her children: Janice (L.T.) Wysocki, Minto, ND; Gerald Phelan, Grafton, ND; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and sister Lucille Zeta, Wadena, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on February 7, 1996, daughter Clariss, two brothers and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery of Minto, ND.
