Robert Miller Robinson

Robert Miller Robinson, age 93 of St. Thomas, ND passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton, ND. Robert was born July 14, 1922 in St. Thomas, ND the son of the late Robert J. and Pearl (Lewis) Robinson. He was united in marriage to the love of his life Helen (Clodt) of Langdon, ND. They were married 67 years. Robert farmed with his father during and for a short time after World War II. Robert and Helen made their home in St. Thomas where they built their home in 1949 and Robert remained living there until December 2012 when he became a resident of Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton. Robert was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church and was a trustee there for many years. Robert farmed, went south custom combining, worked for Gilleshammer Farms, Lon Stenerson Farms, was a mechanic for KMR potato packing plant in Karlstad, MN, among other things and was a devoted care giver for his wife, Helen for many years. Robert is survived by daughter, Verna Robinson-Aasand (Les), Grafton, ND; son Daniel Robinson (Jane) of Belfair, WA; grandchildren: Jana (Lee) Bell, Grand Forks, ND; Travis James Robinson, Grapevine, TX; two great grandchildren: Skylar and Wyatt Bell, Grand Forks, ND; step grandchildren, Neil Olsson and Jennifer (Shawn) Bourdeau; step-great grandchildren: Isabelle Bourdeau and Tristan, Jadon and Seth Olsson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Robert was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, parents Robert J and Pearl Robinson, sisters and brother-in-laws, May Nesbitt (Willis) and Rose Sott (Emil), brother and sister-in-law, Alex (Lillian) Robinson. We have lost our dear father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Heaven has gained another angel to watch over us. He will be joined with his wife, Helen. We love you dad and will miss you a lot. Private family services will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, St. Thomas, ND at a later date.
