Robert Oyloe, 46 of the Grafton Developmental Center passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Robert Vernon Oyloe was born September 8, 1966 to Eugene and Mary Alice (Pearson) Oyloe at Deaconess Hospital in Billings, MT. Robert lived in Boulder, MT until he was 13, In August of 1979 he moved to the Developmental Center in Grafton where he resided until he went to be with his Lord. Because of Roberts disabilities and being confined to a wheelchair, his safety and comfort were dependent on his caregivers. Robert was blessed to have such a devoted, caring staff at the center. Members of the staff would take Robert to car shows, shopping at the mall, visits with veterans at Williston and Lisbon. Special projects of Roberts included raising money for Relay for Life and Coke points to support the Grafton Public School system. Robert had a great love of music. He especially enjoyed going to Sunday services, plays and concerts. He liked being outdoors and feeling the wind on his face. This would always bring laughter. He enjoyed cruising around town in the van. The family is grateful for the telephone calls, correspondence with staff and the trips Robert made to Williston to see family. We know the loneliness we feel right now will disappear when at our Lord's timing we will once again see Robert smile and hear his laughter. We wish to extend a personal thank you to each and every staff member at the Center for the care and comfort they have provided for Robert over all these many years. Please know that your work was truly appreciated by Robert's family. He is survived by his mother, Mary Alice, sister Denise (Bob) Horab and their children: Micki (Caleb) Hinricksen and Cody Horab; his brother David (Kim) Oyloe and their children: Ashely, Garrett and Alyssa all of Williston, ND; cousins: Sam and Jason McLaughlin and their families of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene and grandparents: Vernon and Anna Oyloe and Robert and Ellen Pearson, his uncle Roy Pearson and aunt Diann McLaughlin. Funeral services will be Monday, October 8, 2012 at 1:45 at the All Faith's Chapel at the Grafton Developmental Center. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service.
