Robert F Lunski

Robert F. Lunski, age 58 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.

Robert F. Lunski was born April 30, 1958 in Grafton, ND the son of Florian T. and Katherine (Nelson) Lunski. He attended school in Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School in 1976. He attended the North Dakota State School of Science and graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks with a degree in accounting. Following his education Robert worked as an auditor for the Red River Railway in Grand Forks. He started his own short line railroad company in Grand forks and operated that for several years. He moved to Bismarck, ND and was the Chief Financial Officer for Semi Trailers and Sales. He later owned and operated his own CPA Firm in Bismarck. In April of 2007 Robert received a heart transplant. Following his surgery he moved to Grafton and has lived here since.

He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the CPA Association.

Robert is survived by his mother, Katherine Lunski, Grafton, ND; his brothers: Brian (Dawn) Lunski, Grafton, ND; Dean (Amy) Lunski, Hopkins, MN; nieces and nephews: Kayla Lunski, Joe Lunski, MacKenzie (Cody) Paulson, Brooke Lunski, George Lunski, Rocky Lunski, Jude Lunski and GiGi Lunski. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Randy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
