Robert H. [Bob] Lund, age 56 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, September 02, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River after a long battle with PSC. Robert H. Lund was born October 8, 1951 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Jerome and Elaine (Parker) Lund. He grew up and attended school in Park River, ND. Following his education he worked for the Harvey Tallackson Farms. He later worked as an over the road trucker, then worked for Botner Electric, KAP Inc., A&R Repair. He later purchased the Smazik garage and operated it as Bob's Body Shop. He later moved the business to Main Street in Park River. He also owned the Field Bar in Park River. Bob was united in marriage to Mary Greicar on October 1, 1988 in Park River.
Bob was a member of the Federated Church and served on the Park River City Council. He was a life member of the NRA and the Small Business Bureau. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, trapping, golfing and bowling. He also collected vintage cars and loved auto racing.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Park River, ND; sons: Shane Lund, Park River, ND; Blake Lund, Madison, WI; Lucas Lund, Park River, ND; step-daughters: Brook Slebodnik, Pisek, ND; Brandy (Jason) Myrvik, West Fargo, ND; five step-grandchildren: Taylor, Kendall, Madison, Brooklyn and Xander, brothers: Rodney (Theresa) Lund, Thief River Falls, MN; Terry (Tami) Lund, Park River, ND; Brad (Daphne) Lund, Park River, ND and Mark Lund.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father Tony Gartner.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the Federated Church of Park River, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 6:30 at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, ND. Memorials are preferred to the Gift of Life Transplant House at 705 2
