Robert L. Langowski

Robert L. Langowski, age 71 of Minto, ND passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at his home in Minto. Robert L. Langowski was born September 16, 1939 in Grafton, ND the son of Julian J. and Catherine M. (Wysocki) Langowski. He graduated from Minto High School in 1958 and entered the United States Army following his graduation. He served two tours in Germany and one in France. Following his discharge in 1961 he returned to Minto where he worked for Borden's and Lockwood. He moved to California and worked as a steel worker in Ontario, CA. Robert was united in marriage to Colleen Hughes on June 4, 1966 in Minto. The couple made their home in Ontario until 2000 when they returned to Minto. Robert ran a small antique store with his daughter Brenda in Minto. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Minto American Legion Post #201. He was the director of the Little League Baseball Program for the American Legion and served on the Board of Trees USA. Robert is survived by his wife Colleen of Minto, ND; daughters: Brenda (Steve) Harris and their children: Robert James, Brittany Ann, Caitland Ann, Sara Ann, Kimberly Ann and Jacob Matthew, of Mead, OK; Sandra D. (Mike) Webb and their children: Kacey and Shelby Elizabeth of Alta Loma, CA; his mother Catherine Langowski, Grafton, ND; siblings: Carol King, Minto, ND; Ronald (Kathy) Langowski, Minto, ND; Richard Langowski, Minto, ND; Connie Jones, Alvarado, MN. He was preceded in death by his father. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 15, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place later in the spring at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Minto American Legion Post #201.
