Robert L. Eisenrich, 89 of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Robert L. Eisenrich was born May 19, 1923 in Warroad, MN the son of the late Earl and Frances (Sweeney) Eisenrich. He graduated from High School in 1941. While in high school Bob worked as a telegrapher for the Great Northern Railroad. He enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1943-1946, serving in Europe. Following his discharge he returned to Warroad and worked with the Great Northern Railroad. Robert was united in marriage to Lois Torfin on October 1, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN. In 1954 he served as the Depot Agent in Manvel, ND. In 1955 the couple moved to Badger, MN and he was the agent there until 1963 when they moved to Grafton. He was the agent for Great Northern and later Burlington Northern Railroad until retiring in 1983. He later worked for North Valley Credit Bureau and the Grafton Public School. The couple moved to Leisure Estates in Grafton in April of 2012. Bob was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Grafton American Legion Post #41, Knights of Columbus #3918. He served as the Past President of the Fair Oaks Golf Course and also served as clerk of the Grafton Park Board for several years. Bob is survived by his wife Lois of Grafton, ND; children: Mary Connor, Tampa, FL; Thomas (Teresa) Eisenrich, Plymouth, MN; Jane "Tina" (Greg) Paschke, Forest River, ND; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and sisters: Mary Jean Becker, Fargo, ND; and Grace Preuss, Waterville, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: John and James. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the Grafton Sunset Home.
