Richard P Hurst

Richard P. Hurst, age 68 of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his home in Grafton.

Richard Paul Hurst was born October 20, 1951 in Grafton, ND the son of Walter and Ruth (Christianson) Hurst. He grew up and attended school in St. Thomas, ND and later attended the University of North Dakota. Following his education he moved to Denver and was working for High Share Aerospace. He was transferred to Long Beach, CA. While out there he started working for a pool maintenance company which he later purchased. He owned and operated the company until 2015 when he returned to Grafton and started working for Marvin Windows.

Richard is survived by his mother, Ruth Hurst of Grafton, ND; his siblings: Walter (Marilynn), Warroad, MN; Marcia Stuve, Staples, MN; Warren (Marie), St. Thomas, ND; Jeana (Timothy) Carlson, Healsburg, CA; Robert (Kristi), Alexandria, VA; Norman (Lisa Oby), St. Thomas, ND; Kent (Karen), Woodbury, MN and Kristi Hurst, Grafton, ND. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter on Dec. 13, 2002.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 4-7 PM at the Tollefson Funeral home. A prayer service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home, Grafton, ND. Inurnment will be at St. Thomas City Cemetery in the spring.
