Richard M. Deitz

Richard M. Deitz, age 61 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home in Grand Forks.

Richard M. Deitz was born April 1, 1955 in Bismarck, ND to Edward and Josephine (Elter) Deitz. He lived in Bismarck until the age of 5 when he moved to the Grafton Developmental Center. He lived there until the 1980’s when he moved to Grand Forks. While in Grand Forks he attended Agassiz Enterprises.

Richard is survived by his parents of Grafton, ND; his siblings: Patricia (Michael) Leighton, Grafton, ND; Mari Jo Whitcomb, Grand Forks, ND; Elizabeth Armstrong, Jacksonville, FL; Julie Tilka, Minneapolis, MN; James (Ann Marie) Deitz, Turlock, CA; Michael (Arlene) Deitz, Fort Collins, CO; Theresa (Keith) Cresap, Minneapolis, MN. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survived. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Jennifer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Grafton, ND in the spring.
